West Side Catholic Center: Moriah House Women and Children’s Shelter

  • The Moriah House Women and Children’s Shelter accepts single women and women with children who are homeless, have resided in substandard living conditions, or are victims of domestic violence. Programs include interim housing, case management services, and family services.

Salvation Army P.A.S.S

  •  The Pick Up, Assessment, Shelter & Services (P.A.S.S.) program is accessible to homeless men who are interested in establishing income, participating in an alcohol and drug-free environment, developing personal goals, independent living skills, and establishing permanent housing. Case managers work with each client to increase training/abilities and develop life-changing skills. 75 men are in P.A.S.S. and can remain in the program for up to 2 years.

Y-Haven Transitional Housing & Treatment

  • Y-Haven provides transitional housing, recovery services, treatment for mental illness, educational training, vocational services and permanent housing placement to men who are homeless. They service up to 113 men.

 

Families:

Family Promise of Greater Cleveland

  • Provides shelter, basic needs, and programming to families in need for an average stay of 90 days. Each family will have a case manager work with them to find appropriate permanent housing and sustainability. They will examine their benefits eligibility, child care options, employment readiness, life skills level, mental and physical health needs, and make connections to the community.

 

Zelma George Family Emergency Shelter

  • One of a few intact family housing programs in Cleveland, thirty-five families are accommodated in the Zelma George Shelter. Licensed social workers, case managers and a housing specialist provide a wide range of supportive services to the clients.
